Vigilante 8 is a PS1 armed vehicle combat game set in 1970s America. Muscle cars and armed trucks in iconic American settings. Accessible and fun vehicular combat gameplay. A good Twisted Metal competitor in its more colorful and 70s approach on PS1.

Is Vigilante 8 still worth playing in 2026?

Vehicular combat from Luxoflux in a 1970s America, Vigilante 8 pits armed vehicles in vast interactive arenas to a funk soundtrack, against the backdrop of a duel between the Vigilantes and the Coyotes gang. The variety of machines, the destructible terrain and the spectacular special attacks offer a generous, enjoyable car combat, fierce in multiplayer. The distinctive driving and a period 3D have aged. An excellent vehicular combat game for fans of the genre and of retro multiplayer chaos.
