A decent spy FPS with gadgets and varied environments. The Bond atmosphere is there but level design lacks inspiration. Local multiplayer partly saves a title that remains enjoyable without being memorable.

Description
Released in 2002 during the Pierce Brosnan era, NightFire remains one of the most fondly remembered Bond shooters on PS2. Its single-player runs through classic spy missions, while the split-screen multiplayer turned it into a couch staple for a generation.

Collector interest

The best-regarded Bond entry of this generation, mixing gadgets and gunplay in a tone faithful to the films. Ordinary in the West, it gains value here only in its Korean form, whose thin local run makes it hard to find complete outside the country. The appeal owes to this market scarcity rather than to any value of the game itself.

Is 007 - Nightfire still worth playing in 2026?

An Electronic Arts FPS starring James Bond, Nightfire alternates first person action, gadgets and a memorable driving sequence at the wheel of the Aston Martin, in a classic espionage plot. The cinematic staging, the gameplay variety and the convivial splitscreen multiplayer win over Bond fans. The conventional story and a dated production weigh against current standards. A title for fans of the secret agent and 2000s console FPS in multiplayer.
