Sonic Battle and Sonic Pinball Party together. Two decent games that complement each other nicely. Not Sonic's best but far from worst. An honest pack for series fans.

The pack's first title abandons side-scrolling for arenas seen in isometric perspective, where the characters are redrawn in short proportions and cast a shadow that serves as a position marker. The second plays a radically different card, with vertical pinball tables in garish colours and highly legible mechanisms.
The two titles share no sonic colour: the fighting game rests on dry electronic rhythms and short character themes, while the pinball piles up bells, chimes and scoring jingles layered over the background music. Switching between them on the same cartridge produces a frank gap.

Sonic Pinball Party casts the Sega world into colourful pinball tables, dotted with minigames and references, in a light and festive formula. The whole stays minor against the great Sonic games. For an unconditional hedgehog fan or someone curious about its offshoots, the pack keeps an interest that is above all recreational.
