Snappy and colorful beat'em up, a worthy heir to Guardian Heroes on Saturn. Combos flow naturally and the fun is instant. A shame it's rather short.

Is Advance Guardian Heroes still worth playing in 2026?

A portable spin off of Treasure's cult beat them up, Advance Guardian Heroes tries to carry the Saturn original's energy onto GBA. The snappy fights, the parry system and the magic powers keep real character, but the structure reduced to successive arenas and the constant countering eventually tire. The presentation stays polished for the format. Well below its model, the title still keeps Treasure's furious DNA. For a fan of the studio or a lover of technical beat them ups, the experience keeps a niche interest.
