A more colorful, more accessible follow up to the original, with some clever gameplay touches. Still second tier, but enjoyable.

Description
Sequel to Aero the Acro-Bat featuring new acrobatics and more varied worlds. Published by Sunsoft, released in the United States in 1994. Levels in more diverse environments including a forest and a factory, refined acrobatics, more creative enemies and bosses and improved visuals. Sequel to Sunsoft's acrobatic platformer with more variety.
The US version of Sunsoft's sequel, this NTSC edition is markedly more common than its PAL counterpart: loose copies circulate easily and value concentrates on graded sealed and clean complete examples, with an uncrushed North American cardboard box making the difference. A decent platformer without marked scarcity on the American market, it mainly interests collectors assembling the Aero series in US form or completing the Sunsoft SNES library.
Is Aero the Acro-Bat 2 still worth playing in 2026?
This sequel sharpens Sunsoft's acrobatic formula, with a more responsive hero, more varied settings and a heightened sense of spectacle around the circus and the amusement park. The pacing gains clarity and the levels are better designed than in the first outing. Difficulty stays high and the whole still lacks the spark that sets the great mascots apart. An honest, colourful platformer that genre fans and Sunsoft nostalgics will rediscover with pleasure.
