Akira adapts the Katsuhiro Otomo cult manga to Famicom with its neo Tokyo cyberpunk atmosphere and psychic powered heroes. The manga faithful art direction appeals but the language barrier limits access and gameplay stays basic. Without a western release, for nippophile cult Akira fans.
