A port of Sega's top down shooter, Alien Syndrome sends the hero through infested stations to free hostages before the countdown blows, then face a monstrous boss. The blend of maze exploration, multidirectional shooting and timed tension works well, especially in twos. The 8 bit production stays decent despite some losses against the cabinet. For a retro arcade shooting fan, someone curious about the Sega catalogue or a player after co-op, the title keeps a gripping tension and a direct pleasure.
