Japanese release of Alundra 2, a very different sequel that traded the dark atmosphere for a more accessible steampunk world. Light humor and simplified gameplay will disappoint fans of the first Alundra. Honorable but lacking the predecessor's depth.

Collector interest

The original Japanese version of the Alundra sequel, published by Sony, it bears the subtitle Mashinka no Nazo and is the reference cut for purists who favour the original language and edition. That precedence and the attachment to the first entry, cult in Japan as elsewhere, support demand from Japanese RPG collectors. Its value benefits from the prestige of the source edition and a release with no later Western reissue.
