Xbox-exclusive snowboarding game with a more realistic approach than SSX. Open mountain, freestyle, technical trick system. Less accessible than competitors but more satisfying for purists. One of the best snowboarding games on Xbox.

Hip and laid-back, the licensed selection blends indie rock, electro and hip-hop to dress the snowy descents in a cool attitude. Each run pulses to the rhythm of drifting tracks perfectly in tune with the ride. This musical identity, polished and authentic, is the whole laid-back charm of the game.

Is Tenku - Freestyle Snowboarding still worth playing in 2026?

A snowboarding game from Microsoft, Amped - Freestyle Snowboarding offers free mountain descents, where you ride down vast snowy domains chaining figures and grinds to impress sponsors and climb the rankings, in an approach betting on freedom and authenticity more than on pure arcade. The freedom of the open slopes, the laid back atmosphere and the progression system through photographers appeal to fans of realistic sliding. The quiet pace and a dated production divide. For a fan of snowboarding or someone curious about open world sliding, the title keeps a preserved freedom and atmosphere, in a dated edition.
