Collector interest

The first Armored Core conceived for high-definition hardware, which rethought the speed and readability of mecha combat for the new generation, in its Japanese and Asian edition. This release marks the series' restart on PS3 and is the source version sought by From Software fans. Its interest owes to this role as a cycle's starting point and to a regional pressing less common than the name's aura.

Is Armored Core 4 still worth playing in 2026?

The first Armored Core of the HD generation, from FromSoftware, Armored Core 4 launches a new era of the series with Nexts, ultra fast robots of vastly increased abilities, in a future of mega corporations. The deep customisation, the dizzying speed of the clashes and the austere science fiction atmosphere win over genre devotees. The steep learning curve and an early generation production weigh on it. A title for fans of demanding mech games and snappy aerial combat on PS3.
