AC Revelations concludes Ezio's journey in Constantinople with enriched mechanics (hookblade, bombs) and a moving narrative. Less revolutionary than predecessors but a beautiful conclusion to the Ezio arc.

Collector interest

The conclusion of the Ezio arc, closing the story of the saga's most beloved character before the shift to new heroes. Sold in volume and issued in many regional pressings, it stays very accessible and lightly priced. Its interest lies in this endpoint status of a cult arc rather than in scarcity, except for those hunting the many region-specific catalogue variants.

Better with friends

Beyond the solo adventure, the saga built a singular competitive mode where you stalk a human target by blending into the crowd rather than charging in. The tension springs from bluff and patience: spotting the real player among the extras delivers rare thrills. The online side relies on servers whose activity is no longer guaranteed, but the idea remains one of the genre's most striking.

Is Assassin's Creed - Revelations still worth playing in 2026?

Revelations closes Ezio's arc in Constantinople with a melancholy elegance that still resonates today. Watching the ageing master assassin cross paths with Altaïr lends the story an emotional weight unusual for the series. New tools like the hookblade and the bombs smooth out the action, even if the den defence still divides opinion. Less surprising than Brotherhood and a touch repetitive in its formula, it matters most to those who want to finish Ezio's journey. Others will see a solid AC, without the brilliance of the very best.
