Excellent mech run-and-gun, demanding and fast-paced. Combat is dense and well-paced progression. Clean graphics for Saturn. Somewhat obscure but clearly one of the console's best action games.

Is Assault Suit Leynos 2 still worth playing in 2026?

A mecha action from Masaya, Assault Suit Leynos 2 puts you at the controls of a heavy combat robot that faces an alien invasion across snappy scrolling levels, managing its arsenal and the inertia of its machine. The heavy piloting feel, the military staging and the demanding difficulty give a singular character to an action shooter of the Assault Suits lineage. Japan only, the title stays overlooked. For a retro mecha action fan, someone curious about Masaya productions or a collector, the title keeps a definite intensity and character.
