Atelier Rorona is the first Atelier on PS3 with an alchemist in Arland town, time management and crafting. Accessible to beginners, charming despite a system still finding its feet. Good entry point.

Is Atelier Rorona - The Alchemist of Arland still worth playing in 2026?

An alchemy RPG from Gust, Atelier Rorona opens the Arland trilogy by following a young apprentice tasked with saving her workshop by completing commissions within a deadline, through gathering ingredients and synthesising items from recipes. The gentleness of the world, the depth of crafting and the charm of the characters win over fans of cosy JRPGs. The time constraint and a measured pace divide. A title for fans of Japanese alchemy RPGs and the curious about the Atelier series' beginnings on PS3.
