Attack of the Killer Tomatoes adapts the comic animated series to NES with its hero facing carnivorous tomatoes. The cartoon art direction appeals but gameplay stays basic and difficulty uneven. Pleasant for series fans, in the lower middle of 8 bit animation tie ins.

THQ's adaptation of the spoof film arrived late in Europe, in 1992, as the PAL NES already faded behind the Super Nintendo. That timing sharply limited continental print runs and explains a value well above the game's merits. The European version carries the same content as the NTSC release but saw narrower distribution, and that scarcity is the genuine driver of desirability here.
