Adapted from the Beyblade spinning top franchise, Magne Tag Battle turns top battles into duels where players launch, steer and clash their Beyblades in an arena. The concept sticks to the toy and the anime, with a tag team mode specific to this edition. The gameplay nonetheless stays limited and repetitive, and the presentation modest for the console. The lack of translation narrows its audience. For Beyblade fans of the era and nostalgics of the craze, it keeps a sentimental interest, more than a lasting playful one.
