An isometric hack and slash set in the D&D world, by Snowblind. Snappy two-player local action, loot galore, slightly cliché fantasy mood that still works. No script genius but the core loop is properly cathartic. Great couch co-op stuff.

Is Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance still worth playing in 2026?

A spin off of the famous Dungeons & Dragons license, Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance trades tactical role play for an isometric hack and slash, playable in two player co-op on one screen. Character growth, loot and spells stay satisfying, carried by a polished presentation for the time. The pace and environments do lack variety over the long haul. For fans of old school hack and slash and the Forgotten Realms universe, it remains a muscular, convivial romp, especially in two.
