Battle Arena Toshinden port on Game Boy, 3D fighter as 2D. Decent 8-bit animations and reduced roster. A curiosity for series fans, dated.

Takara's Game Boy port of the 3D fighter Battle Arena Toshinden, scaled down to 2D on the monochrome handheld. This Europe SGB Enhanced edition supports the Super Game Boy for colour and a border, which concretely sets the PAL version apart. The appeal lies in the technical curiosity of squeezing a PlayStation fighter onto Game Boy and in the relatively uncommon SGB support, more than in the game, sought chiefly by Toshinden fans and lovers of unlikely conversions.
