A decent Innerprise vertical shooter with two ships and a co-op mode that brightens things up. Pleasant but short on personality, in the shadow of better games.

Battle Squadron (Mega Drive) price, value & rarity
Ported from the Amiga by a small studio, this shooter burrows into labyrinthine enemy nests where you plunge ever deeper. Lacking the polish of big productions, it got a lukewarm reception and left barely a trace. But its two-player co-op and its vertically driven level design keep a retro charm for fans of less conventional shooters.
