Collector interest

Released late in Japan in 1993, this Game Boy BattleCity descends straight from Tank Battalion, Namco's 1980 arcade staple. The cartridge never left the domestic market, which explains its high loose price outside Japan. Appeal rests on the Namco lineage and the two-player link mode, uncommon on this kind of port. More a Namco archive curiosity than a title fought over for its play.
