Beast II is a Japanese beat em up on Mega CD with bestial heroes facing enemy hordes. The version uses the CD format for enriched cinematics and soundtracks despite sometimes rigid animation. Pleasant for 16 bit beat em up fans, original in the catalogue.

Collector interest

A Mega CD port of Shadow of the Beast II, published by Sega in Europe in late 1993 and exclusive to PAL territory on the add-on. Drawn from the cult Psygnosis series, it enhances the original Amiga adventure with a CD soundtrack and cutscenes. A limited European run on an already thinly distributed format makes it a target for Beast and Psygnosis collectors after the only CD iteration, distinct from the cartridge and home-computer versions.
