The world is that of a planet retaken by the living: organic ships beating their wings, enemies made of spores and tentacles, scenery of swamps, fossil forests and nests. The palette favours greens, violets and ochres, and the bosses unfold slowly like organisms waking up.
The accompaniment avoids the genre's usual fanfare in favour of murkier textures: held tones, muffled percussion, motifs repeating with slight displacement. The whole owes more to sonic ambience than to structured pieces, extending through the ear the organic strangeness of the scenery.
