Worked lighting, cinematic framing and enhanced models make a dense art direction, where every fixed shot distills carefully staged dread.
Resident Evil 2's soundtrack weaves anxious ambiences and tense orchestral themes that pace the flight through Raccoon City. Muffled pads, subtle dissonance and dramatic surges match the tension of corridors and the burst of creatures. The save-room themes offer rare havens of calm. A masterful atmosphere score.

Tank controls take a little getting used to, yet the tension built by narrow corridors and scarce ammunition holds up remarkably well today.
