The original Japanese edition of Bomberman Quest, released a year ahead of the Western versions, making it the first iteration of this Hudson action-RPG spin-off. The Japanese cartridge draws collectors after the reference version that predates the localisations. Its scarcity owes to an unusual format in a multiplayer-led series, little reissued, and to the chronological primacy of this printing on Hudson Soft's home market.
