Martial orchestra and taut electronic pads raise every mission to blockbuster scale, backed by themes signed by big names of cinema. The music reacts to the fire of the action, fuelling the intensity of the firefights. This cinematic breadth, punchy and controlled, elevates the game's warlike sweep.
The campaign follows a single division from the North African landings all the way to Germany, giving the story a geographical continuity rare in the genre. The same faces recur from one theatre to the next, some go missing without comment, and progress is measured as much in kilometres as in absences.
