A war FPS from Treyarch, Call of Duty 3 stages the Normandy campaign through to the liberation of Paris, through the eyes of American, British, Canadian and Polish soldiers. The spectacular battles, the scripted hand to hand phases and the sense of belonging to a large scale offensive stay immersive. The marked linearity and an improvable production on the original Xbox weigh. A war FPS to recommend for World War II fans and intense, cinematic solo campaigns.
