Ghosts tries to launch a new saga for the franchise but struggles to make its heroes stick, Riley the German shepherd aside. Spectacle bits land, multiplayer ticks along, yet the inspiration is running on fumes.
First-person shooter by Infinity Ward and Activision, November 2013. Soldier Logan Walker and his Ghosts unit battle an emerging superpower in a world war that has upended world order. New Mantle movement mechanics, unprecedented underwater and space levels and enriched multiplayer with customisable characters. Thirteenth Call of Duty franchise entry.

Call of Duty - Ghosts (Xbox 360) price, value & rarity
The Japanese subtitled Jimakuban version of Call of Duty - Ghosts, the counterpart to the dubbed version, keeping the original voices with subtitles. This editorial choice of two parallel builds split an already limited Japanese distribution on an Xbox 360 marginal in the archipelago. Desirability rests on its role as the second half of a pair of variants fans seek to reunite, and on the inherent scarcity of the Japanese pressing.
Is Call of Duty - Ghosts still worth playing in 2026?
A first person shooter from Infinity Ward, Call of Duty Ghosts offers a dark campaign around an elite squad in an invaded America, punctuated by spectacular sequences and a now iconic dog teammate. The cinematic pace and the classic multiplayer hold up on Xbox 360. The server closure and a short campaign refocus the current interest on the solo. A decent FPS for fans of scripted military action to play today mainly as a campaign.
