Techland deliver a western about feuding brothers with a gorgeous Mexican backdrop and weighty revolver duels. Cover shooting is rough but the spaghetti tone hits the bullseye from beginning to end.

A Techland prequel, Call of Juarez Bound in Blood follows two Confederate brothers at the end of the American Civil War, in a more open, accomplished western than the first entry. The pistol duel, the choice of which brother to play and varied settings from Mexico to the mountains make it an exotic FPS. The narrative driving stays linear and the AI dates. A good FPS for fans of video game westerns after adventure and gunfights under the sun on Xbox 360.
