Sequel to Champions of Norrath with new story, new classes and enriched content. Local co-op remains excellent and hack-and-slash gameplay just as fluid. A very good D&D action RPG on PS2 that surpasses its predecessor in terms of content.

Carving through hordes to harvest ever-better loot sets up an action-RPG loop that never really stops. Levelling your heroes, combing generated dungeons and teaming up in co-op stretches the adventure well beyond the main quest. That pull of loot, reinforced by multiplayer, explains a longevity dear to hack-and-slash fans.

Champions - Return to Arms (PS2) price, value & rarity
Is Champions - Return to Arms still worth playing in 2026?
A Snowblind Studios sequel, Champions Return to Arms extends the hack and slash in the EverQuest universe with new classes, a good or evil alignment system affecting the ending and the option to import your character from the first entry. The four player split screen co-op, the teeming loot and the snappy action make it an excellent vent among friends. The repetitive structure remains. An excellent game for fans of cooperative hack and slash, character progression and loot questing on PS2.
