Sandlot deliver a generous follow-up to their alien invasion tower defense, with goofy weapons and buildings collapsing without warning. It is handcrafted, kitschy and incredibly cathartic, especially in local co-op with mates.

Repelling an invasion of giant insects and alien ships with oversized weapons, in cities collapsing under the chaos: the release is total and terribly gleeful. The assumed excess, the staggering number of enemies and the co-op create a raw, hilarious pleasure. Brawny, generous and fiercely fun, a cult shooter that turns mass destruction into pure happiness.

Is Chikyuu Boueigun 3 still worth playing in 2026?
An action game from Sandlot, known in the West as Earth Defense Force, Chikyuu Boueigun 3 sends a soldier solo or in a duo to defend Earth against hordes of giant insects and saucers in fully destructible cities. The embraced mayhem, the huge arsenal and the on screen chaos make it a gleeful guilty pleasure, especially in co-op. The deliberately modest production and the repetition are part of its charm. An excellent game for fans of video game B-movies and carefree mayhem in two.
