Is Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon - Toki-wasure no Meikyuu still worth playing in 2026?
Known in the West as Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo's Dungeon, this Square Enix roguelike sends Chocobo to explore randomly generated dungeons whose layout changes with every visit. The job system, the tender mood and the Final Fantasy musical touch lend charm to an otherwise demanding formula. The repetition inherent to the genre and the difficulty of some floors call for patience. An excellent accessible dungeon crawler for fans of gentle roguelikes and of the Chocobo world.
