High Impact Games transposes the series into spy-film imagery: a dinner jacket cut for a robot, miniaturised gadgets hidden in a bow tie, casinos with red carpeting, yachts and plush ski resorts. Enemy silhouettes shift from robotic monster to bodyguard in a dark suit.
Jazz takes over completely here: a walking double bass, muted brass, vibraphone and brushed drums establish a hushed elegance the series had never attempted. Action moments push the horn section into big band riffs, exactly like the title sequence of a dinner-jacket film.
The Japanese edition of Ratchet & Clank's portable adventure, locally retitled with the heroes' order reversed, the Japanese version of a PSP spin-off of Sony's duo. Its appeal lies in this title quirk and a Japanese run distinct from the Western editions, prized by fans wanting the local cut of a beloved franchise. An import piece for collectors of the series.
