German release of Command & Conquer Red Alert, the legendary RTS pitting Allies against Soviets. Tesla coils, chronospheres and Kirov airships became genre symbols. Excellent real-time strategy game, as engaging on PS1 as in the PC version.

Is Command & Conquer - Alarmstufe Rot still worth playing in 2026?

A PlayStation port of Westwood's famous RTS, Command & Conquer Red Alert shifts the conflict into an alternate history where Allies and Soviets wage total war after Hitler's disappearance. The two asymmetric campaigns, the wild arsenal and the offbeat cutscenes install an addictive, cult real time strategy formula. Pad control stays less precise than the mouse. A genre pillar to recommend for RTS fans and lovers of alternate Cold War fiction.
