The German edition keeps the readability that makes Westwood's board work: a top down view, tiny yet recognisable units, buildings with crisp volumes, terrain of snow, forest and concrete. Soviet red and Allied blue structure the screen, while Tesla coils and Kirov airships stand out as emblems.
Frank Klepacki imposes his industrial rock from the first mission on: saturated guitars, martial drumming, freezing synth pads and that chanted march which became the unofficial anthem of the Soviet side. The PlayStation mix lets the bass breathe, and every track holds the tension of a session that can run for an hour.
The alternate history is brutal and effective: Einstein travels back to erase Hitler, and the vacuum left across Europe is filled at once by Stalin's Soviet Union. The two campaigns answer each other point for point, each with its filmed briefings and live actors, and victory in one makes the other impossible.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.
