PS2 version of the Crash Bandicoot kart racer with colourful circuits and chaotic items. Fun is present in local multiplayer but AI is uneven and circuits are unmemorable. Honest entertainment for franchise fans seeking company.

Is Crash Bandicoot - Bakusou! Nitro Kart still worth playing in 2026?
A kart racing game from Vicarious Visions, Crash Nitro Kart pits the bandicoot and his gang on colourful tracks packed with corners, jumps and throwable items, against a galactic competition backdrop. The snappy arcade driving, the drift to boost system and the split screen multiplayer make it a solid Mario Kart rival on Sony's console. The lack of originality against the model and an uneven difficulty temper the whole. A good racing game for fans of arcade karting and multiplayer mayhem on PS2.
