Japanese version of Crash Nitro Kart. Vicarious Visions kart racing tied to Crash Bandicoot. Series-iconic characters, Mario-Kart-style items, four-player multi. Decent but clearly Mario Kart-inspired without reaching that level. A solid secondary kart.

Is Crash Bandicoot - Bakusou! Nitro Kart still worth playing in 2026?

Crash Bandicoot's answer to Mario Kart, Crash Nitro Kart sends the marsupial and his pals onto colorful tracks dotted with drifts, items and shortcuts. The driving stays solid and snappy, with a boost system rewarding well controlled drifts, but the whole lacks originality against the genre's master. The presentation is pleasant and the atmosphere faithful to the license. For Crash fans and multiplayer kart lovers, it offers an honest, fun alternative, especially in multiplayer, without dethroning its models.
