A questionable morality

Reforming a band of delinquent girls sent to the underworld sounds almost virtuous, until you discover that “motivation” runs through correction sessions heavy with innuendo. Framed as a road to redemption, the system turns the party's progress into a saucy pretext, a contrast the game owns with a knowing smile.

Is Criminal Girls 2 - Party Favors still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel from Nippon Ichi, Criminal Girls 2 - Party Favors extends the first game's formula by handing the player a new group of sinners to guide through hell, in turn based dungeons resting on cooperation and motivating the characters. The system adjustments, the newcomers and a trio of groups bring a little variety, without transforming a concept and tone that stay very distinctive. The fan service remains central. For a fan of niche Japanese RPGs or of the first game, the title keeps a preserved singular mechanic and identity.
