Neo Geo launch run and gun that has aged, with capricious hitboxes and limp level design. Still a historical witness with a few cool moments. Mostly worth playing for nostalgia.

Collector interest

An SNK side-scrolling action game where two cyborg soldiers face armies of rebel robots, in the early run-and-gun spirit, the Japanese version on the Neo Geo CD. Its desirability rests on its status as an early-machine title, its marked science-fiction aesthetic, and the affordable access the disc gave. Collectors seek it for that age and its arcade-style cooperative action.

Is Cyber-Lip still worth playing in 2026?

Cyber-Lip is an SNK horizontal-scrolling action game, in which two cyborg soldiers fight armies of rebel robots across levels riddled with enemies and traps. The snappy run and gun, varied arsenal and two-player co-op mode bring a pleasant outlet, in line with the early Neo Geo titles. The presentation and level design show their age as a launch game. For fans of retro run and gun and old-school cooperative action, it is a solid but dated title, mainly delightful in pairs.
