Darkman adapts the Sam Raimi film on Ocean NES with the disfigured hero using his masks to track the mafioso Strack. The representation alternates platform and fixed pattern combat in dark gothic atmosphere in a film license formula. Honest for licensed NES platform fans in the 8 bit Ocean production vein.

Collector interest

The American Darkman shipped more broadly than the PAL cart, hence a moderate loose value contrasting with its high sealed price. Ocean delivered a middling film-licensed beat-em-up, but the collecting appeal rests on Ocean's profile and the relatively uncommon Universal film license on NES. Sealed new remains the driver, while the bare cartridge holds limited interest.
