The Japanese version of Code Name Viper under a different title. Snappy and well-built infiltration action-platformer. Solid mechanics, convincing paramilitary atmosphere. Identical to its western release, excellent.

Is Dead Fox still worth playing in 2026?

A Capcom run-and-gun, Dead Fox sends a secret agent on a mission behind enemy lines, across snappy side-view shooting levels mixing varied weapons and vehicle phases. The sustained pace, the arsenal and the military action mood make it a solid horizontal shooter, in the studio's recognized craft. The difficulty stays tough and the formula classic for the genre. An estimable pick for fans of NES run-and-gun and lovers of Capcom action productions.
