A little-known but pleasant Japanese vertical shooter. Clean action, good enemy variety, well-measured difficulty. Without revolutionizing the genre, Dengeki Big Bang offers an honest shooter experience.

Horizontal shooter from Vic Tokai released in late 1992, just as Japanese attention swung toward the Super Famicom. Its electric-bolt weaponry and chunky boss design mark it as a late Famicom title with a small print run that never left Japan. The modest loose price hides how scarce complete copies are, the cartridge circulating almost exclusively through specialist import channels. Appeal sits squarely with obscure-shooter hunters.
