Devastator is a Japanese horizontal shoot on Mega CD with its futuristic ship facing enemy forces in space. The version uses the CD format for orchestral soundtrack and cinematics in the Compile shmup line. Solid for 16 bit shoot fans, without reaching Dennin Aleste.

Collector interest

A horizontal shooter from Wolf Team, Devastator never left Japan, placing it among the import-only Mega CD shmups. Its interest rests on the Wolf Team name, a studio better known for RPGs, and on the CD's use for an orchestral soundtrack, in a niche where the add-on produced few polished entries. A small print run for an already obscure genre on the system, without reaching the cult standing of Dennin Aleste.
