Dino Crisis is a Capcom survival horror featuring dinosaurs in place of zombies. More action-oriented than Resident Evil, it remains tense and thrilling with well-rendered dinosaurs for its era. An original and effective horror experience on PS1, unjustly overshadowed.

Collector interest

PAL Spain edition of Dino Crisis. The Spanish run was smaller than the pan-European English release, making it a specific target for Iberian collectors of Capcom survival horror. Loose value stays in line with the rest of Europe, but the original Spanish packaging in sealed condition is noticeably harder to find intact than the English or German pressings.

Memorable bosses

Swapping the undead for dinosaurs changes everything: here a Tyrannosaurus bursting through the walls leads the hunt, an unkillable predator no bullet truly stops. Raptors hunting in packs add a jittery, unpredictable threat. Between flight, cunning and calculated panic, these encounters trade on survival instinct and etch a rare, animal tension.

Is Dino Crisis still worth playing in 2026?

A Capcom survival horror from Shinji Mikami, Dino Crisis transposes the Resident Evil formula into a base infested with dinosaurs, swapping the slow undead for the fast, unpredictable raptor. The shift to real time 3D environments and the constant tension against agile predators renew the genre. Resource management and puzzles stay at the heart of the experience. A snappy, memorable survival to recommend for fans of action horror and prehistoric thrills.
