Showdown moves away from rally toward derby and smashup territory with an unapologetic arcade slant. Short, fun in multi, but clearly less ambitious than Dirt 3 and quicker to fade from the library.

Arcade off-road game by Codemasters, August 2012. Drivers compete in demolition derby, extreme Gymkhana and vehicle battle disciplines in closed arenas. Spectacular crash-and-entertainment gameplay rather than technical realism, enriched multiplayer modes and arenas of all sizes. Festive and accessible Dirt franchise spin-off.
