Hand-drawn sprites of adorable roundness, dazzling colours and settings faithful to the cartoon: the remake resurrects the 80s cartoon charm. The fluidity of the animation and the readability of the levels overflow with joy. This visual direction, warm and polished, honours a classic with tenderness.
Re-orchestrating the cult NES chiptune themes, the music makes catchy melodies of irresistible retro charm sparkle. The legendary "Moon Theme", sublimated, has lost none of its magic over the years. This sonic generosity, nostalgic and polished, revives the joy of a classic with a smile.

Disney DuckTales - Remastered (PS3) price, value & rarity
Disney DuckTales Remastered, WayForward's hand-painted rebuild of the NES classic, faithful to the game and cartoon, distributed mostly digitally. The more limited PS3 physical run interests those wanting a boxed copy of a largely digital title. Its desirability rests on this status as the physical version of a retro-nostalgic game rather than extreme scarcity, in a niche of retro-Disney fans.
Is Disney DuckTales - Remastered still worth playing in 2026?
DuckTales Remastered is a loving HD reworking of Capcom's NES classic, led by Scrooge McDuck. The gamble of entirely redrawing the game by hand, in a style close to the cartoon, is a visual success that has not aged a day. The platforming gameplay stays faithful to the spirit of the original, with its now-cult cane pogo, and the memorable Moon theme enjoys a superb rearrangement. A few added dialogues sometimes weigh on the pace. But for nostalgics of the original game as much as fans of retro platforming, the pleasure stays whole.
