The sandbox mode opens a small western town entirely peopled by toys: shops with painted fronts, a cardboard desert, and inhabitants whose clothes and scenery you get to choose. This inhabitable model, built to figurine scale, offers a counterpoint to the story levels, which faithfully reproduce the film's sets and materials.

An action adventure from Avalanche drawn from the Pixar film, Toy Story 3 alternates film faithful scripted levels with an excellent Toy Box mode, a vast sandbox where you freely shape a western town peopled with the toys. The generosity of the sandbox mode, the humour and the co-op make it one of the best games based on an animated film. The scripted levels stay more conventional. An excellent game for families, Toy Story fans and lovers of creative sandboxes on Xbox 360.
