Dragon Quest Heroes II improves the musou formula with more playable characters and a world map to explore. Even more generous homage, appreciated local co-op. Better than the first for fans.

Is Dragon Quest Heroes II - Futago no Ou to Yogen no Owari still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Omega Force's musou action, Dragon Quest Heroes II widens the formula with a more open world to explore, regenerating dungeons, a class system and a four player co-op mode, still rooted in the Dragon Quest world and bestiary. The rush of mass combat, the wealth of progression and the Toriyama charm appeal to fans. The repetition of clashes remains typical of the genre. A good action game for fans of musou, co-op and the Dragon Quest universe.
