DreamWorks film adaptation (Madagascar, Shrek, Flushed Away, etc.). Action-adventure for young players, film-faithful themed levels, accessible gameplay. Decent execution but no personality, target audience is young children. Of no particular interest otherwise.

Is DreamWorks Shrek - Smash n' Crash Racing still worth playing in 2026?

A kart style racer under the Shrek license, Smash n' Crash Racing sends the DreamWorks franchise's heroes against each other on tracks inspired by the film's world, with weapons, drifts and shortcuts. The driving is accessible and the wrapping faithful to the characters, but the whole stays very conventional, with no originality against Mario Kart, and the presentation is average. The content is decent and no more. For Shrek fans, families and lovers of accessible karting, it offers colorful, likable multiplayer entertainment, quickly forgotten against the genre's references.
