A PS1 port of the cult Duke Nukem 3D. Macho action, crude humor, 2.5D open levels, effective gameplay. Decent conversion but technically inferior to PC, best played on home computers for full Duke experience.

Is Duke Nukem still worth playing in 2026?

Known as Total Meltdown, this PlayStation port of Duke Nukem 3D brings 3D Realms' irreverent shooter to console, with its macho hero, cult one liners and interactive environments packed with nods. The varied arsenal, the clever level design and the juvenile humour keep real punch, rounded out by exclusive levels and a reworked soundtrack. The pre analog stick pad handling has aged a great deal. A cult FPS for fans of 90s shooting and nostalgics of Duke.
