Hardcore-toned ECW wrestling with the official roster and weapons galore. Stiff handling and limited AI, decent presentation for 1999. A curiosity for nostalgic ECW fans.

ECW Anarchy Rulz ranks among the scarcest Dreamcast titles boxed and complete, the result of Acclaim's late October 2000 release shortly before the ECW federation collapsed and the Dreamcast catalogue was abandoned. The short-lived Extreme Championship Wrestling licence and the low Western print run explain a very high complete price despite modest quality. Market scarcity, not the game, drives demand.

Is ECW Anarchy Rulz still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Hardcore Revolution, Anarchy Rulz extends the ECW journey under Acclaim with an updated roster and a few tweaks, without rethinking an engine already dated at release. The over the top tone and hardcore brawls, with tables and weapons, stay faithful to the promotion. But the stiffness of the matches, rudimentary animations and labored presentation hold the whole back against the era's competition. Reserved for ECW fans and the curious about a forgotten corner of the wrestling game.
