First ECW video game, technical base lifted from WWF Attitude. Basic mechanics and dated presentation even for its time. More rare than memorable.

Is ECW Hardcore Revolution still worth playing in 2026?

Acclaim's first adaptation of the hardcore ECW federation, Hardcore Revolution leans on the publisher's in house wrestling engine to deliver a title faithful to the promotion's violent, unhinged spirit. The roster and atmosphere will please those in the know, but the stiff gameplay, loose collisions and modest presentation show their age harshly. Moves chain without finesse against modern references. Its interest today is limited to ECW nostalgics and fans of wrestling game history.
