A logical follow-up to the first F-1 World Grand Prix, locked to the 1998 season. Refined driving physics, slightly more modern presentation and updated grids and drivers. No revolution, but a meatier F1 sim and still one of the better drives on the N64.

Is F-1 World Grand Prix II still worth playing in 2026?

F-1 World Grand Prix II extends Video System's Formula 1 simulation for the 1998 season, refining the driving model and updating circuits and teams. The simulation demand, the finesse of single-seater behavior and the wealth of settings confirm the series as one of the machine's F1 references. The learning curve stays tough and the addition over the first installment measured. For fans of realistic retro F1 and technical driving, this refined sequel is the best choice of the series on N64.
